What’s commodity inspection? Is it the same as pre-shipment inspection? Who is responsible for doing that?

A Commodity Inspection is different from the pre-shipment inspection arranged by the customers. It is a pre-requisite procedure from the State General Administration of the People's Republic of China for Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine to export wooden, bamboo, and animal related products. 

We recommend suppliers to do it for our customers. We can help on that, too, but the cost is probably higher than your supplier.
