Why is the amount in my bill higher than that in the quote?

Why is the amount in my bill higher than that in the quote?

The final invoice amounts are in most cases different from the quotes due to the following reasons:

1.     Remeasurement

After we receive your products in our warehouse, we re-measure and weigh them to determine the final freight charge. The actual weight and volume from our measurement are probably different from what you provided in the quote request form, which contribute to the quantity difference between the quote and the invoice.

For light goods whose volumetric weight is greater than the actual weight, the difference will be more material, as the chargeable weight will be a lot larger due to slight larger carton dimensions.

2.     Price Update

We update our price table regularly according to the market conditions. The quotes are updated automatically without notification with the price table update in the system before the cargo arrives at our warehouse, even after the booking is confirmed. Once your cargo arrives at our warehouse the price is secured. The invoice amount may be different from the quote of the previous versions if you do not check it frequently. Hence, please keep up with us for the latest price update and check your quotes in our website frequently before the goods are sent from your supplier to avoid surprises.

3.     Other Value-Added Services

We charge service fee for additional value-added services such as labelling, carton change, re-packaging and re-packing, re-routing, storage, etc. which may not appear in the quote. But normally these are communicated in advance before the service is rendered.
