Why is Ocean Fast Line even cheaper than Ocean Regular Line?
Ocean Fast Line may be cheaper than Ocean Regular Line for the following reasons:
1. Minimum Volume Requirement
For Ocean Regular Line, we have a minimum volume requirement of 2 cubic meters, while for Ocean Fast Line only 100kg is required. Your shipment will be charged as 2 cbm even if it’s much smaller than that.
2. High Tariff
For Ocean Regular Line, on top of the freight charge per cubic meter, we collect tariff from you on behalf of the US customs. This is called DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) shipping method.
For Ocean Fast Line, we charge a flat rate per kilogram including tariff for no matter what products we ship. This is called DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) shipping method.
If your products are subject to a high tariff, the overall cost including both the freight charge and the tariff for Ocean Regular Line may be even higher than Ocean Fast Line.
